Other than the depressing thought The Today Show, supposedly a news show, is thinking of hiring Kardashian wizard Ryan Seacrest to replace Matt Lauer, I was weirdly intrigued by the headline on the Fox News website claiming “Survivor Host Jeff Prost Marries Actor Mark-Paul . . .” Did I read it right? Actor Mark-Paul could only mean the former, yet will always be remembered as, Zack Morris by Saved By The Bell. I was sure Mark-Paul Gosselaar was married, but it wouldn't be the first time an actor hid his homosexuality. The thing is I didn't know Probst was married.

I then began to think maybe this was a stunt, like they got married in a movie or to highlight a cause or something. But again, maybe they were both closeted gays and came out as a show of tolerance. So, with curiosity I did what was expected of me, I clicked on the link.

That's where I see the full headline. “Survivor Host Jeff Prost Marries Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar's Ex Wife”

Wait, so he married the ex wife of the actor? You couldn't reword the headline to give a bit more information. Looking at the spacing on the link page there was more than enough room to clairify who Jeff Probst was marrying.

Only two explanations come to mind for the way the wording was done. Maybe we as Americans are supposed to be so obsessed with celebrities that the editors figured their readership would know Probst and Gosselaar ex wife were dating and would make the assumption in the headline they were married. The other is they figured implying this was a gay union, especially considering we are talking Fox News, their readers would be so outraged about those 'godless gays' tearing down the country flaunting their disregard for holy matrimony, especially at this time of Christians celebrating the birth of baby Jesus, they would angrily click on the link then would be relieved this is just a married of two heterosexuals, who both happened to be married to other people in the past.
