I heard a funny story and chalked it up as a political myth. It was being said that Mitt Romney looked a bit more bronzed, when he spoke on Univision September 19th. I looked at some stills as well as video from the event and it did appear he looked a little darker, but I thought it had to be the lighting or makeup that was causing something odd to happen. All was going fine until I saw pictures of him from a few days earlier at the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event in Los Angeles. Romney was looking bronzed again! It wasn't a pronounced as the Univision event but the man was definitely darker than he normally looks.

I've got some photos from those two events as well as other events from earlier and later in the campaign. I'm just putting the photos out there. You can decide what is causing his possible darkening when speaking with Hispanics. Keep in mind something I found unusual. There is a photo from Mitt on 9/17 at the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where the video and photo I saw of him sort of looked tanned. I have another photo of him the very next day, 9/18, where he looks lighter than the day before, then when he makes his appearace at Univision on two days later on 9/20 he's rocking the striking tan.
