It’s the first time in a long time where I had to stare at the blank page for a long time before I was able to start an article. I honestly don’t know where to start because I have so much I want to say, but emotionally I feel overwhelmed.

I’m tired of weak willed Republicans and Democrats who are so unwilling to either offend their base or to be pasted with a label they will allow rouge elements of their organization run free, just so they can gather votes. Yes I’m talking about the Tea Party, about the Arizona immigration law and the seeming acceptance of racial hatred. And for the record, this isn’t some tit for tat display. I don’t want to hear about how some on the left are racist and should be denounced first.

I know there are people on the right who have gotten a hard on about the New Black Panther Party and the quote about wanting to “kill cracker babies.” Is it wrong, of course it is but the New Black Panther Party isn’t with the Democratic Party, they aren’t part of the NAACP. Their words have been denounced by those organizations. You want to have a federal probe about voter intimidation by a small, fringe group yet the Tea Party movement can have racist signs at their rallies, can have guns at their rallies, can have support from nationally syndicated talk show hosts, politicians and they can’t be investigated for their views? I know you’re going to say the signs are but a ‘small percentage’ of the fine upstanding Americans who make up the Tea Party movement, but the right wing commentators, the politicians fuel the racist fires in that organization out in the open.

Have you read comments left on newspaper sites? Have you listened to the rhetoric given by those who support the Tea Party? Have you heard the words used in Arizona by officials? To hear it from some officials, the desert between the border and Phoenix are littered with the headless bodies of cartel violence, Americans cower in fear at night as gangs of drug traffickers, smugglers and terrorist roam the night. People don’t come here to work, according to the governor of the state, but are forced to smuggle drugs into the country to hurt our kids. As for the Tea Party, there was a radio commentator who called the NAACP racist because they have the word Colored People in their title. How many times have I heard the right wing radio hosts talk about the tanning tax as a way for Obama to get back at white people?

The right will find a few instances of fringe people saying stupid things and will demand a full prostate apology. Democrats, being the weak willed spineless beings they are will do so, just to try and show the country how bi-partisan they are. I guarantee in a week I could find quite a few examples of right wing people who will say things as offensive as “kill cracker babies” yet the right wing won’t apologize for it. They will continue to feed the racist filth to the uninformed masses and they will slurp it up.
