I just watched an episode of Judge Alex where the defendant was so out of touch and believed they are the center of attention that they couldn’t realize why their friend would be more concerned about her child who had an exploded appendix rather than taking her to work. Even though this woman hadn’t paid rent nor had she shown any responsibility, she blamed her friend with the sick child for her losing her job. As the judge pointed out, you rarely get fired for the first offence so there must have been a pattern for getting fired, so why blame it on the friend?

She never got it, which is why she had to pay over $2500 for back rent.

There have been three good people I’ve known from work who have lost their jobs because, even after being warned they were on the last chance before getting fired, continued to do things they knew would end up badly for them.

After I watched the episode I got a lot of information about the Perez Hilton incident. Before I even get worked up into this, the most telling thing, the most defining statement that could be said about the man was made by him. He said in so many words that he like to write about the drama in other people’s life but not be part of the drama.

Uh, let’s see, you have a website where you want people to go to read the gossip you get on other people, right or wrong. You go on talk shows to gossip about the infamous, not realizing you had become that which you seem to hate long ago. What I mean is there must be something that has this man hating celebrity while worshiping it, so he has to go out and find dirt and expose them, which brought his own status up. His peak at this point was the question he gave to Miss California and the weeks of turmoil and conflict we had to see on the news as the both of them went back and forth about her answer.

What brings up a wild sense of irony is, even though we have to agree the question was something of a set up, the response Miss California gave and the subsequent behavior seemed to give Perez Hilton’s question some sort or relevance and revelation as to the stringent anti-gay element of the religious right (my words not anyone else’s and said in irony) and gave him even more credence. The irony comes in when Hilton’s minor spat with a ‘who is that?’ singer uses the same language he would call hateful and anti-gay to them, which causes a fight. He goes on YouTube to show how bad this man is, but once footage is shown of him saying the words (yes isn’t it a pain when a gossip person, who left out the tiny detail of what he did to start the attack, is uncovered by a gossip person) Hilton looks like a fool. Even GLAAD denounced him for the choice of words and this idiot, just like the woman on Judge Alex, said GLAAD was in the wrong because his choice of words was non-violent.

One website I saw on the subject put this response in such perfect aspect –

That's some incredible logic. I'll remember that the next time I intellectualize a situation by calling an African-American a "n-gger." Hey, I didn't use violence. Now gimme a medal.

While I can ask the question if we have had enough of this junk, I know the answer is no. I doubt this incident and the rebuke by GLAAD will detour Perez Hilton from his out there activities. Oh, one last thing, I’m through with calling this man Perez Hilton, which was obviously a pseudonym. I’m calling him Mario, as in his real name Mario Armando Lavandeira from now on.
